Instytut Dendrologii Polskiej Akademii Nauk

The IDPAN is a research institute that focuses on various aspects of woody plants biology. The expertise represented in the IDPAN includes: ecophysiology; quantitative and molecular genetics; seed biology; phytopathology; mycorrhizae; taxonomy and chorology; methods of vegetative propagation; and introduction and acclimatization of trees and shrubs.

The scientists affiliated with the IDPAN have an excellent record of obtaining highly competitive external grants from various Polish agencies (the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Centre for Research and Development, the State Forests, and others) as well as international (European Commission – Evoltree, Treebreedex, National Science Foundation, USA; National Geographic Society, USA, and others).
