4 Development of genetic resources - current SNP genotyping methods and associated molecular marker development using next-generation sequencing

This training event was running from March 14th - June 30th 2016. The training existed of a hands on part where the experiments were carried out between March 14th and May 23th 2016, followed by an analysis with the participants between May 24th and June 30th. The analysis was done via Skype or on-site.

The training session included the development of genomic resources for four orphan species (Crataegus spp., Juniperus communis, Acer pseudoplatanus, Castanea spp.) and development of two sets (per species) of 40 validated SNPs markers for six species (Pinus sylvestris, Picea abies, Crataegus spp., Juniperus communis, Acer pseudoplatanus, Castanea spp.) suitable for traceability issues.
